The Rural Practice Network (South Somerset East Primary Care Network)

The Rural Practice Network (South Somerset East PCN) is an NHS collaboration between 5 GP surgeries. We provide quality NHS healthcare services to around 34,600 patients and aim to support and connect with our local community.

Our surgeries are located in Somerset. We all work together to give our patients a choice over where they visit, who they see and the services available. See below the surgeries that are part of our network:

  • Bruton Surgery
  • Milborne Port Surgery
  • Millbrook Surgery
  • Wincanton Health Centre
  • Queen Camel Medical Centre

What are primary care networks?

The Primary Care Network (PCN) brings surgeries together with our local services to look after patients across the local area. As a Primary Care Network, we’re able to provide greater care for the people and community. Putting our patients and local residents first, our surgeries within the PCN work together to improve standards across our locations, services, teams and pharmacies.

As a PCN, we make sure patients have access to quality NHS services across our 5 surgeries. We bring NHS services and local services together, such as community, mental health, social care and volunteering, to look after local patients and provide more integrated health and social care.
